I say a big hello to all my blog readers, let me continue my story from where i stopped. On getting to Bob Izua Park, the place was filled and passengers were much. What caught my attention more was the large luggage being carried by them, as seats were even bought for loads and they were even almost competing with humans for space.Unfortunately, a coaster bus rolled in and the speaker blared, ticket number 9 and 10 enter the coaster bus. As i moved forward,i saw bags ranging from the smallest to the largest size available and there was commotion as everybody wanted their bags to be in the bus. After long shouting and pleas the bags were carefully arranged at the backseat but it took over an extra seat with no body to pay for it.It delayed us for sometime, but after dropping and deliberations, the money came out and the bus took of.
While on the road,as the ambassador that i am, a case ensued and i re-instated the fact that corruption was not part of Nigeria's culture but it was met with fierce opposition by a boy(or Man) who claimed that the happenings evident in the lifestyle obtainable in Nigeria said the otherwise and that it has become normal.I tried explaining that we are supposed to be ambassadors and that the change starts from us, but he complained that the change even if it might come is not in our generation. I answered his last observation by telling him that even if it cannot be achieved in this generation(which i don't believe), we can live a life establishing platforms that will make this nation, great as it ought to be.When he saw that convincing me to his side wouldn't be that easy,he told me that I was still young and that experiences will make me change my mind, the young man who claimed to be a graduate of engineering from the prestigious Igbinedion University, Okada. had to let my point stay cause i wasn't ready to give in.
The journey was so interesting and educative,as it was arguments and talk all the way. People sharing their views and counter views ranging from politics to rights,Music, schools, buying of degrees, corruption in the Nigerian Universities etc. and it almost ended in a fight. When a matured girl wanted to oppress a young girl for speaking up. so funny, oppression even in the bus!. I got home that evening and entered into a quiet environment void of the hustle and bustle of ek-city. My holiday was garnished when i joined the users of good mobile technology. My holiday was interesting though i didn't go out but my PC was my companion as everything was at my doorstep with just a click of the mouse and the pressing of my keyboard.
Surprisingly, the holiday is already coming to an end.....Alas,my travel was worth it
